In Cana

2g

One day soon after Jesus had been baptized by John, Jesus went to a wedding.

In Cana in Galilee,

A wedding it was planned,

Jesus did a miracle,

His first in all the land.

In Cana in Galilee,

This wedding it was planned,

And Jesus did a miracle,

His first in all the land.

Now Jesus was invited,

This wedding feast to go,

His mother Mary she went too,

And friends that he did know.

Soon the wine it all had gone,

And when the bridegroom knew,

Mary went to Jesus,

To see what they should do.

In Cana in Galilee,

A wedding it was planned,

Jesus did a miracle,

His first in all the land.

Close nearby stood six stone jars,

And very large jars were they.

“Fill them up with water”,

The servants heard him say.

“Now draw some of that water

Go your master find.”

And when the master tasted it,

It had been turned to wine.

O what a miracle,

‘Cos Jesus was at hand,

Water turned into wine,

Just at our Lord’s command

The master called the bridegroom,

Took him to one side.

He said “You saved the best till last,

I really am surprised”.

Now how do you think that water,

Ended up as wine.

It must have been through Jesus,

A miracle divine.

O what a miracle

‘Cos Jesus was at hand,

Water turned into wine,

Just at our Lord’s command.

In Cana in Galilee,

A wedding it was planned,

And Jesus did a miracle,

His first in all the land.
