Psalm 138: Before all the gods of the earth

Before all the ‘gods’ of the earth,

I’ll sing your praises.

I’ll praise you O Lord,

I‘ll praise you with all of my heart.

I’ll praise your name for your love

And your faithfulness to me.

I’ll bow down towards you,

At your holy temple place.

For you have exalted your name

And your word above all things.

When I called you answered,

You made me stout-hearted and bold.

May the kings of the earth,

Praise you O Lord for your Word!

May they sing of the ways of the Lord

For his glory is great.

Although the Lord he is on high,

He looks down on the lowly.

And though amid trouble I walk,

My life you preserve.

You stretch out your hand ‘gainst my foes,

And save me from their anger;

With your hand, your right hand,

You save me from their enmity.

The Lord, will fulfil, he’ll fulfil

All his purposes for me.

For your love, the Lord’s love

Endures forever through all time.

Your love O Lord,

It will endure through time.

O Lord don’t abandon the works;

All that your hands have done
