I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from?

My help it comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you won’t slumber;

Indeed, he who watches over Israel, will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD he watches over you, He is the shade at your righthand;

The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon, nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life;

The LORD will watch over your comings and goings both now and for

evermore.

The LORD will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life;

The LORD will watch over your comings and goings both now and for

The utterly comforting assurance that the Lord watches over us, will protect us from harm and will not let our feet slip, from the narrow path that leads to glory, has been an inspiration to believers for thousands of years.  The dazzling fact that the Maker of Heaven and Earth is watching over our comings and goings and is our divine helpmate, never ceases to produce in us a sense of wonder and awe.
