Give thanks to the LORD for he is good;

His love endures forever.

Give thanks all of those who fear the LORD;

His love endures forever.

In my anguish I cried to God,

And he has set me free.

The LORD is with me,

I’ll not be afraid.

For what can man do to me LORD,

Since you look after me.

In confidence

I’ll face the enemy.

Best take refuge in the LORD,

Than put your trust in men.

Don’t trust in princes,

They will let you down.

When I was pushed and nearly fell,

The LORD’s help made me strong.

He is my salvation,

He’s my song.

I’ll not die but I will live,

And tell what God has done.

He’s chastened me

But I did not see death.

And I will enter through the gates

Of God the righteous One.

The gates flung open wide,

Through what he’s done.

The LORD has made his light to shine

On us and we are glad.

With boughs in hand

We join the festive throng.

For he’s our God and we’ll give thanks,

In his love will remain.
