In God we plead,
Our home's been invaded.
Men have come
Defiling your temple.
They've reduced
Jerus'lem to rubble,
Your servants are dead
Their bodies are left
For beasts and birds of the air.
They've poured out
Their life blood like water
All around
Jerusalem city.
There are none
To bury the dead ones
With words of reproach
Our neighbours deride;
We are made objects of scorn.
How long Lord
Will you remain angry?
Jealously
Will you burn like fire,
Pour your wrath
On these wayward nations,
Their kingdoms are proud
They don't call on you
And don’t acknowledge your name.
For they have,
Devoured our homeland
All you gave
To Jacob and Israel.
And though our father's sinned
Do not blame us.
Come quickly to us.
Have mercy on us
For we are in desperate need.
