He’s kept our feet from stumbling.

But our God he has tested us,

Refined us like silver in a fire.

Imprisoned we were caught in a net,

With crushing burdens laid on our backs,

With people riding over our heads

Who drove us thro' water and fire,

Until you brought us to a good and abundant place.

I will come to your house and bring,

Gifts and my offerings to you.

The choicest meat from bulls and from goats,

Then he would not have not heard my cry.

For he has not rejected my prayer,
