O God, you’re my God,

Earnestly I seek you;

My soul will thirst for you,

My body longs for you,

In a dry and weary land

Where there’s no water.

I’ve seen you in the sanctuary,

Beheld your power and glory.

My lips will glorify you;

Your love is better than life.

I will praise you as long as I live,

Lift my hands up to you Lord.

On my bed I remember you;

Through the watches of the night I think of you.

Because you’re my help,

In the shadow of your wings I’ll sing.

My soul it clings to you,

Your right hand upholds me.

And those who seek my life,

They all will be destroyed.

They’ll go down to the depths,

Down to the depths of the earth;

Be taken by the sword,

Become food for the jackals.

My lips will praise you.

The king will rejoice in God;

My soul is satisfied

As with the richest of foods;

And all who swear by God’s name

They all will praise him,

While the mouths of liars,

Will be silenced.
