Psalm 57: Have mercy on me God

Listen on Spotify, Amazon or Apple Music
Have mercy on me God,
Have mercy on me Lord;
In you my soul can hide.
Have mercy on me Lord;
Let me shelter 'neath your wings,
Until disaster's past.
I cry out to God,
The God Most High;
For he fulfills his purposes in me.
He sends from heaven his love and saves my life;
Rebuking those who hotley do pursue me.
I'm in the midst of lions;
These men like rav'nous beasts,
With teeth and tongues like swords.
They spread a net for me;
I'm bowed down in distress,
They've dug a pit for me.
But they have fallen
Into it themselves.
For my God he is faithful in his love.
And he's exalted high above the heavens.
Be exalted, let your glory shine on us.
I'll sing a song to you,
Make music on the harp,
I'll waken up the sun.
My heart is steadfast Lord,
I'll praise you through the earth,
Till nations they are won.
We will praise your name,
For you are great.
Your faithfulness
It reaches to the skies;
Your great love reaches up to heav'n above.
Be exalted, let your glory shine on us.
Let your glory shine on us,
Let your glory shine on all the earth.

Psalm 57 Reflection
Psalm 57 Prayer from among ferocious enemies
The Hebrew title is ‘by David’ from the time when he was hiding from Saul (1 Samuel 22). Circumstances may be black but those who fill their minds with God can sing his praise, come what may. Paul and Silas also knew the truth of this ( Acts 16).
