O great is the LORD our God,

Most worthy of all our praise;

The city of our God,

Upon his holy mountain high.

The city is beautiful,

Up there in its loftiness;

The joy of the whole earth,

The awesome heights of Mount Zion.

It’s the city of our King,

Where God himself does dwell.

There is safety. He’s our fortress, we’re in you LORD,

You LORD, safe in you LORD.

You LORD, You LORD, safe in you LORD.

When enemy kings came there,

Advancing together there,

They saw her and were amazed;

They fled from her in terror.

Like women in labour pain,

Great fear seized their trembling frame.

You tossed them like ships in a storm,

An east wind it broke them to pieces.

And as we have seen and heard,

The city of our God,

Is made secure by him for evermore LORD.

Made safe by you LORD.

Made safe, safe by you LORD.

And within your temple LORD,

We think of your constant love.

Your name, O God and your praises,

They reach to the ends of the earth.

And your right hand O LORD,

Is filled with your righteousness.

The cities of Judah are glad,

Your people rejoice in your judgements.

So walk and count her towers,

Zion’s ramparts and her walls,

And let each generation know the truth LORD

Know the truth LORD.

That this God is our God,

For evermore he’s God

And he will be our guide

Unto the end LORD.

To the end LORD.

He will guide us to the end LORD.
