God is our strength,

God is our refuge.

He’s always near,

Helps us in trouble.

So we’ll not fear

Although the earth gives way

Beneath our feet.

Though mountains quake,

At the sea’s surging.

And though they fall

Into the seething heart of the sea.

Yet we’ll not fear 

For God is by our side.

And there is a river whose streams make glad

The Holy City of God.

And God Most High, he dwells in her 

And she shall never fall.

H’ell help her at the breaking of the day.

Kingdom’s will fall,

Nations are in uproar.

God lifts his voice;

He makes the earth melt.

But God is near

God is our strength,

Our fortress and our guide.

Come then and see

All that the Lord has 

Done In the earth;

See the devastation.

But wars will cease

He’ll break the bow and spear

Burn the sword with fire.

Be still and know that I am God

And I’ll be lifted high.

Exalted above the kings of earth.

The LORD God is with us;

Our fortress, Jacob’s God protecting us.
