Psalm 21: LORD the king rejoices in your strength

Jeff Lowe: lead vocal, backing vocal, piano, synth - strings, oboe & bells, bass
LORD, the king rejoices in your strength.
How great his joy in victories you give!
You have granted his heart’s desires,
And not withheld the request of his lips.
You have welcomed him with rich blessings,
Placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
He has asked for life, and you gave it;
Length of days, for ever he’s blest.
From the victories you gave come glory,
You’ve bestowed on him majesty.
You have granted unending blessings
And made him so glad, in the joy of the LORD.
For the king puts his trust in the LORD,
Therefore he won’t be removed.
Through the unfailing love of the Most High,
He will not be shaken or moved.
Your hand will lay hold the enemy;
And your right hand will seize the foe;
And when you appear for battle,
You will burn them up, to the flames they will go.
In the wrath of the LORD they are swallowed,
Then fire it will consume them,
Destroying all of their descendants,
Purging mankind of such men.
And though they plot all their evil,
Their wicked schemes won’t succeed.
Their backs are turned at your bidding,
And at your drawn bow, they scatter and flee.
Be exalted O LORD, you are mighty;
Your great strength we have held in our sights.
We will bring you our praises forever,
We will sing and give praise for your might.
LORD, the king rejoices in your strength.
LORD, the king rejoices in your strength.
LORD, the king rejoices in your strength.
