Psalm 10: Tell me why LORD?

Tell me why LORD,
Do you stand far off from me and hide LORD,
In times of trouble?
Tell me why LORD,
Do you hide yourself, stand far off from me,
In times of trouble?
When arrogant men hunt down the weak,
Who are caught in their schemes and devices. 

They boast of the cravings they have in their hearts, 

Bless the greedy, reviling the LORD.
In their thoughts there is no room for God,
No room for God.

Tell me why LORD,
When their ways are so haughty, they prosper, 

And nothing shakes them?
Tell me why LORD,
Whilst sneering, ignoring your laws LORD, 

Nothing shakes them?
When their mouths are full of curses and threats, 

With evil and trouble abounding;
They wait like a lion to ambush its prey:
The helpless are caught and dragged off.
In their hearts they cry, “God does not see”, 

“God does not see”.

So arise LORD,
And lift up your hands, help the helpless:
And don’t forget them.
Yes arise LORD,
And lift up those who’re troubled and grieving, 

And take control LORD.
The victim can turn LORD to you,
For of the fatherless you are the helper.
Break the arms of false, wicked men.
And call them to account for the evil they’ve done; 

Though they boasted that God does not see,
But God does see.

For the LORD he is
King forever and forever;
But nations perish.
Yes the LORD he is
King, for always and forever:
But nations perish.
So listen O LORD
To the cry of all those who’re afflicted, oppressed 

And are cast down.
You take note of all they require,
Encouraging them to keep faith in their God,
Till the terror of men is no more,
And they are all gone!

For the LORD is King forever,
Yes the LORD is King forever;
Yes the LORD is King forever and ever, 

Yes the LORD is King forever and ever. 

Yes the LORD is King forever,
For the LORD is King forever,
For the LORD is King forever, Amen!
