When they took Jesus down

When they took Jesus down from the cross, His friends they were mourning their loss, In a new tomb his body they laid,
A great heavy stone sealed the grave.

For three days he lay in that tomb,
It was cold in the darkness and gloom.

And soldiers they guarded that place.

But Jesus he rose from the dead, 

Just as he always had said.
